Bjornsson sets world record with 501 kg deadlift

Hafthor Bjornsson set a world document within the deadlift on Saturday, hoisting 501 kilograms (1104.52 kilos).

The 31-year-old set the document in his native Iceland.

Referred to as “Thor,” the 6-foot-9, 425-pound Bjornsson broke the earlier document of 500 kilograms (1,102.31 kilos), set by England’s Eddie Hall in 2016.

Bjornsson is greatest recognized for his position as “The Mountain” Gregor Clegane within the HBO sequence “Sport of Thrones.”

He received the World’s Strongest Man competitors in 2018 and has completed third or higher yearly since 2012.
