The dancing pallbearers who became a morbid meme

In 2017 this troupe of Ghanaian pallbearers went viral following BBC Africa’s protection of their flamboyant coffin-carrying dances, garnering hundreds of thousands of views.

Three years later due and the group has skilled a second spherical of web fame, with social media customers adopting the troupe as a dark-humoured image of dying within the time of Covid-19.

BBC Africa’s Sulley Lansah met up with the chief of the troupe to get his response to his new-found fame and see how he is coping throughout the pandemic.
